Coronation Street Kit storms out as Bernie hopes for reassuring test results
Coronation Street’s Kit storms out of Bernie’s appointment after she expresses confidence about her test result, leaving a difficult family moment.
Bernie’s attempt to stay hopeful leads to a painful family moment in upcoming Coronation Street scenes. With Kit and Dev accompanying her to an appointment, a conversation in the waiting room ends with Kit losing his temper and walking away.
Bernie tells them that she feels certain her test will come back negative. She does not yet have the result, but she is holding on to the belief that she will receive reassuring news.
Kit reacts badly to her words and storms off. What begins with the family attending together turns into a difficult encounter before Bernie has even received an answer.
There is a clear difference between Bernie expressing hope and knowing what the test will show. Her confidence offers no medical certainty, and the appointment still has to provide the information she needs.
For Bernie, having both Dev and Kit beside her should mean she does not have to face the experience alone. Kit’s departure disrupts that support at a particularly sensitive moment.
The scene leaves an uncomfortable question hanging over their relationship. Can Kit find a way to talk to Bernie about what he is feeling after walking out when she needs support?
Coronation Street airs on ITV1. Episodes are also available to stream on ITVX.
