Coronation Street Kit faces difficult cancer decision after Todd plea
Kit opens up to Todd about his upcoming CT scan as Todd gently urges him to tell his family the truth about his breast cancer diagnosis.
Kit faces another difficult moment following his breast cancer diagnosis in this week, as Todd encourages him not to face everything alone.
Kit tells Todd that he has a CT scan appointment coming up as doctors continue assessing his cancer following the devastating diagnosis. Kit has been told he has stage-three breast cancer which has spread to his lymph nodes, leaving him facing an uncertain and frightening period ahead.
Todd listens as Kit opens up about the next stage of his medical care, but his concern quickly turns towards Kit’s family. He encourages Kit to tell them about his cancer rather than continuing to carry such a huge burden without their support.
It puts Kit in an incredibly difficult position. A cancer diagnosis is deeply personal, and deciding when and how to tell loved ones can be an enormous step in itself.
Bernie has already sensed that something is wrong with her son, particularly after noticing changes in his behaviour. Kit, however, has struggled with what is happening and has not yet been ready to tell those closest to him everything.
Todd’s advice comes from a place of concern rather than pressure. He can see that Kit is dealing with something enormous, and he wants him to have people around him as he goes through further scans and treatment decisions.
The CT scan is another important step in understanding Kit’s condition, but emotionally, telling his family may prove just as difficult.
Whether Kit takes Todd’s advice remains to be seen, but he is reaching a point where keeping his diagnosis hidden may become increasingly difficult.
