Coronation Street Jodie targets Bethany with disturbing new game
Coronation Street’s Jodie begins using what she overheard against Bethany as her increasingly unsettling behaviour takes another worrying turn.
Jodie’s behaviour takes another unsettling turn this week, as she begins making use of the information she secretly uncovered.
After letting herself into Sarah’s flat earlier in the week and overhearing a conversation she was never supposed to hear, Jodie now appears ready to put that knowledge to use. Bethany finds herself directly in her sights as Jodie begins playing games with her, knowing far more about the situation than Bethany initially realises.
Rather than immediately revealing everything she knows, Jodie appears to enjoy having the upper hand. Her behaviour leaves Bethany facing someone who knows something potentially important, but whose intentions remain difficult to predict.
Things become even more worrying when Jodie takes matters further and arranges a prison visit with Sarah. She claims she has something to reveal, suggesting whatever she overheard could have consequences well beyond her latest confrontation with Bethany.
Before Bethany can properly tackle what is happening, another complication arrives in Weatherfield. Doug suddenly turns up, interrupting events and bringing a whole new layer of tension with him.
Jodie has already shown that she is prepared to cross boundaries to get what she wants, but this latest move suggests she is becoming increasingly confident about using other people’s secrets to her advantage. With Bethany now caught in the middle, the question is how far Jodie intends to take it.
