Christina confides in those closest to her as Rachel’s murser leaves her shaken in Coronation Street, before a visit from Sally and Lucy brings further uncomfortable moments.
Christina finally shares her secret with Todd and George in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, leaving them shocked by what she says. Her disclosure follows growing unease over Rachel’s death and a determined effort to learn more about the case.

Since discovering that Rachel was Lucy’s mother, Christina has struggled to hide how deeply the information affects her. What might otherwise have been another funeral to help organise has become something much more personal.

Her interest intensifies when she overhears Tim discussing Richie’s case with Lisa. Christina then approaches Tim for more information, presenting her questions as concern for Lucy’s welfare.
During their conversation, Tim reveals that Rachel’s death may not be as straightforward as the police initially believed.
That gives Christina more to consider while she is already struggling with what she knows - that she is Rachel’s long lost mother. She is mother also to Daisy whom she had a troubled relationship with, Daisy being her second born. She gave Rachel away to another family due to her age and not being able to cope.
Having told someone does not mean Christina is ready to discuss the situation openly with everyone else.
A visit from Sally and Lucy soon leaves her uncomfortable again, as they are at the undertakers to discuss a plaque for Rachel. Sally brings out photographs of the family, giving Christina another difficult reminder of the people connected to her secret.
How will Christina cope with what she’s just discovered, will she remain strong and fight to ensure justice is done, or will she spiral out of control?
Coronation Street continues on ITV1. Episodes are also available on ITVX.
