Coronation Street Carla helps Betsy revive her fashion dream

Betsy Swain is given a fresh opportunity to pursue her fashion ambitions in Coronation Street after Sally finds information about a course that could offer her another way forward.

Betsy had previously been preparing to study at the London College of Fashion, but those plans had to be put aside following her the devastating Stroke she suffered.

With London no longer part of the immediate plan, her future has had to take a different direction.

In upcoming scenes Sally comes across information about a local fashion course for Betsy and shows it to Carla, who thinks this is a brilliant idea, and then helps Betsy with the application. This new opportunity gives Betsy another chance to focus on the career she had hoped to pursue before her health changed everything.

It is a positive development for Lisa too, who is pleased to see Betsy thinking about her future again. Carla’s support gives Betsy someone firmly in her corner as she starts exploring a new route into fashion.

The scenes also give Carla and Betsy another warm family moment. Betsy’s original plans may have changed, but the opportunity Sally finds means she does not have to give up on her ambitions altogether.

Later, while Betsy is having a manicure, she is suddenly struck by severe pain in her head which brings fresh concern that she may be suffering another stroke

For now, the new course gives Betsy something positive to work towards as her parents continue supporting her.
