Coronation Street Bethany snaps as Jodie targets Kit

Bethany Platt’s second date with Roman takes an unexpected turn in Coronation Street when Jodie Ramsey walks into the bistro with Kit Green and immediately changes the mood.

Bethany and Roman are enjoying what looks like a much smoother evening after their previous drama, even raising a toast to finally getting through a second date without anything going wrong. That optimism does not last long.

Jodie arrives with Kit, and Bethany’s good mood quickly disappears. With Sarah still in prison and her relationship with Kit only recently over, seeing him out with another woman is clearly enough to hit a nerve.

Bethany explains that her mum is in prison and that Sarah and Kit only broke up a few weeks ago. As Jodie continues flirting with Kit in front of her, Bethany eventually loses her temper.

It puts Bethany in an awkward position. She is supposed to be enjoying her own date with Roman, yet seeing Kit apparently moving on so quickly brings Sarah’s situation straight back into the room.

Jodie, meanwhile, appears completely comfortable making her interest in Kit known. Their arrival together is already enough to unsettle Bethany, but the flirting pushes things further and leaves her unable to keep quiet.

The confrontation also creates an uncomfortable start to any possible connection between Jodie and Kit. Sarah’s absence does not mean her relationship with Kit has simply been forgotten, particularly by Bethany, who is clearly not ready to watch someone else step into her mum’s place without saying something.

Roman is left caught in the middle of what was supposed to be their drama-free second date, while Bethany’s attention is suddenly focused firmly elsewhere.

Whether Jodie takes Bethany’s anger seriously remains to be seen, but her interest in Kit has certainly been noticed.
