Coronation Street 11 to 16 October Debbie fears Ronnie betrayal

Debbie Webster becomes convinced that Ronnie is hiding something from her in Coronation Street, before Abi sees something that could deepen her concerns.

At the Chariot Square, Ronnie thanks Ryan for finding some work for Debbie to do and helping to keep her busy. Debbie watches the pair and senses that they are talking about her, leaving her increasingly suspicious.

She later summons Abi to the flat and reveals that she is convinced Ronnie is seeing somebody else. Debbie also tells Abi she believes he is planning to put her into a care home.

Abi then passes Victoria Garden and sees Ronnie with his arms around another woman. The circumstances surrounding the embrace are not revealed in the weekly information, leaving Debbie’s fears unresolved.

There is also turmoil for Sarah Barlow as her trial begins. Before proceedings get under way, Sarah tells Bethany and Todd that she understands Kit’s decision not to help her, prompting Todd to blurt out that Kit has breast cancer.

Bethany is horrified while Sarah reels from the revelation.

Kit is meanwhile at the hospital, where Bernie supports him as they talk about stories from his childhood, before he prepares for his first chemotherapy session as Brody arrives to visit him.

Todd later takes the stand and defends Sarah. Bethany becomes upset and hurries out of the courtroom before returning home and putting pressure on Kit to do the right thing, while Sarah herself later takes the stand to give evidence.

Problems are also mounting at the bistro after Tracy accuses Leanne of poisoning her family with undercooked food.

Idris deals with complaints from customers suffering from food poisoning, while Ollie carries out a full kitchen inspection and discovers that all the meat served the previous night was past its sell-by date.

Leanne realises Nick was responsible for the delivery, leaving open the question of whether it was an honest mistake or sabotage.

Nick later admits the business can no longer afford its meat supplier and has been reduced to buying meat from Freshco, prompting Leanne to suggest selling up.

Toyah then confronts Leanne and accuses her and Idris of trying to sabotage the bistro so they can buy it for a knock-down price.

Idris later winds Nick up at Speed Daal by claiming both his relationship with Sam and his business are on their knees.

Elsewhere, Ross suggests to Tyrone that they should make visits to the local boxing gym a weekly event. Tyrone turns him down, leaving Ross annoyed by his response.

Debbie’s fears, Sarah’s trial and the growing bistro crisis leave plenty hanging over Weatherfield this week.
