Charity Dingle Faces Shocking Prison Ordeal in Emmerdale
Charity Dingle faces a terrifying prison ordeal as she is framed for drugs, subjected to a full body search and suffers a devastating PTSD attack.
Charity Dingle is pushed to breaking point in upcoming Emmerdale scenes as her situation behind bars becomes even more distressing.
Already facing the prospect of losing her freedom over Dr Todd’s death, Charity begins to believe she could spend the rest of her life in prison. However, things are about to get considerably worse when events inside the jail take a frightening turn.
During a prison lockdown, white powder is discovered inside Charity’s cell. The discovery appears to implicate her in drug smuggling, despite Charity knowing she has been set up.
With little control over what happens next, Charity is forced to undergo a full body search to prove she is not concealing anything. The humiliating experience proves deeply traumatic and triggers memories that Charity has struggled to live with for years.
Overwhelmed by what has happened, Charity suffers a panic attack brought on by her PTSD. Instead of receiving the comfort and support she desperately needs, the response from the prison guards leaves her even more isolated.
Charity is subsequently placed in segregation, leaving her completely alone as her darkest thoughts begin to take over. With no immediate way out and her future looking increasingly hopeless, she starts imagining what the rest of her life could look like behind bars.
Outside prison, her family are desperately trying to find a way to help her, but Charity has no idea whether their efforts will be enough.
For a woman who has survived countless battles over the years, this could become one of Charity’s most harrowing ordeals yet.
Emmerdale continues on ITV1 and ITVX.
