Can Denise save Jordan after escaping hospital in EastEnders?

Denise is set to make a dangerous decision when she leaves hospital and throws herself into the search for Jordan. Still recovering and in need of medical care, she refuses to remain behind while her grandson is missing and Chelsea is unable to help from prison.

Jordan disappears after Sheila offers to care for him when Kim is pulled away by concern for Denise. Chelsea had already become suspicious of Sheila and no longer wanted her looking after Jordan, but the sudden change in circumstances gives Gray’s mother the opening she needs.

Once the abduction becomes clear, Denise is determined to act despite the possible impact on her health. Her bond with Jordan and her instinct to protect Chelsea leave her unwilling to wait for Jack or the police to handle the search without her.

Kim finds herself in a difficult position as she tries to support her sister while also recognising how unwell Denise may still be. She knows returning to hospital would be safer, but Denise’s refusal to step back leaves Kim with little choice but to remain beside her.

The search appears to move towards an airport, raising fears that Sheila may be planning to take Jordan far beyond Walford. Nothing has confirmed her destination, but Denise and Kim could be left with only a narrow opportunity to reach her before she disappears.

Gray’s involvement makes the situation even more frightening because the plan appears to have been arranged from inside prison. He has used Sheila’s access to Jordan and Chelsea’s imprisonment to place the family under enormous pressure while keeping himself physically removed from the abduction.

Jack may hold the key to finding Sheila as he investigates Ian’s connection to Gray. Any information Ian provides could reveal where Sheila is heading, but Denise may not be prepared to wait for answers while every passing moment takes Jordan further away.

Denise’s decision to leave hospital could therefore prove either crucial or deeply dangerous. Her determination may help bring Jordan home, but pushing herself too far could leave Kim facing another emergency during the search.

Chelsea is forced to rely on her family at the moment she feels most powerless. Knowing Denise is risking her health to save Jordan is likely to deepen her fear, even while it gives her hope that Sheila will not be allowed to escape without a fight.

Gray has built his plan around Chelsea being isolated and her relatives being distracted. Denise’s refusal to stay out of the search could become the factor he failed to predict, especially if she reaches Sheila before the final stage of his scheme can be completed.

Jordan’s fate remains uncertain, but Denise’s actions make one point clear. She is prepared to place herself in danger rather than abandon her grandson, and her determination could give the family their strongest chance of bringing him safely home.
