Wake The Tiger opens Absurd City, a new immersive attraction in London
Wake The Tiger’s Absurd City has opened at Westfield London, with five themed districts, hidden rooms and interactive art across an 80,000-square-foot experience.
A new immersive attraction has opened in west London, inviting visitors to step into a surreal parallel world filled with unusual installations, hidden spaces and interactive artwork.
Absurd City, created by the team behind Wake The Tiger’s immersive attraction in Bristol, opened at Westfield London on 15 October 2026.
The experience covers 80,000 square feet and is designed as a self-guided adventure through a series of imaginative environments.

Visitors enter a fictional city called Meridia, a world shaped by climate collapse, corporate control and an underground resistance. Its story unfolds through the surroundings, with five themed districts offering different visual styles, installations and details to discover.
Rather than following a conventional museum route, visitors can explore at their own pace, look for hidden passages and rooms, and interact with elements of the experience. The attraction is intended to encourage curiosity, with unexpected details throughout the space.

The scale of the experience means it is worth allowing plenty of time for a visit. The attraction’s official website recommends more than three hours to explore, although the time needed will depend on how closely visitors want to examine the different spaces.
Absurd City is designed for all ages and could appeal to families, art enthusiasts and people looking for something different from a standard exhibition. The immersive environment includes atmospheric lighting and sound, however, so visitors who prefer quieter settings may want to check the attraction’s accessibility information before booking.

There is also a themed bar and kitchen, Wunderground, for visitors who want food or drinks before or after exploring. The venue can be visited without an Absurd City ticket, according to the attraction’s visitor information.
The attraction is located on the first floor of Westfield London in Shepherd’s Bush, next to Marks & Spencer. It is accessible from several nearby Underground stations, including Shepherd’s Bush, White City and Wood Lane.
Tickets and visitor information: General admission and selected adult-only After Hours sessions can be booked through the official Absurd City website. Check the site for available dates, entry times, accessibility information and the current ticket options before travelling.
