UK Celebrity Traitors season 2 line-up confirmed as BBC reveals all 21 famous faces

The wait for Celebrity Traitors season 2 is almost over after the BBC confirmed the full celebrity line up and revealed the hit reality competition will return this autumn.

Filming has now wrapped on the second celebrity edition of the psychological game, with 21 famous faces heading to the Scottish Highlands in the hope of outsmarting one another for a charity prize.

Although an exact launch date has not yet been announced, the BBC has confirmed the series will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year.

The impressive cast features actors, comedians, presenters, musicians and sporting stars, including Bella Ramsey, Michael Sheen, Ross Kemp, Maya Jama, Jerry Hall, James Blunt, Hannah Fry, Joe Lycett, Rob Beckett, Richard E. Grant, Leigh Anne Pinnock, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Romesh Ranganathan, James Acaster, Sebastian Croft, Sharon Rooney, Joanne McNally, Miranda Hart, King Kenny, Myha’la and Amol Rajan.

The new series follows the success of the first celebrity edition, with Claudia Winkleman returning to host another tense battle between the Faithful and the Traitors.

Contestants will once again work together to complete missions and build a prize fund before gathering around the famous round table, where they must decide who they believe is secretly working against them. Each night, the Traitors will eliminate another player while attempting to remain hidden until the final.

As anticipation builds, former EastEnders actor Ross Kemp has spoken about the extraordinary levels of secrecy surrounding the programme.

Speaking on Joe Marler’s podcast, Ross joked that the confidentiality agreements were even stricter than prison security, saying contestants were under enormous pressure not to reveal anything about the competition.

He also refused to answer questions about whether he was selected as a Traitor or remained one of the Faithful, keeping viewers guessing ahead of the launch.

The BBC has also reportedly strengthened security behind the scenes to prevent any details from leaking before transmission, meaning fans will have to wait until the series begins to discover who survives the game and who is secretly plotting against the rest of the cast.

With filming complete and one of the biggest celebrity casts assembled for a reality competition, Celebrity Traitors season 2 is already shaping up to be one of the BBC’s biggest entertainment events of the year.
