Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will finally meet in the ring after their long-awaited heavyweight fight was officially confirmed for Cardiff.

The two British boxing stars will face each other at the Principality Stadium on Friday, December 11, with the entire event streaming live around the world on Netflix.

It will be the first professional fight between Fury and Joshua despite years of discussion, negotiations and repeated attempts to bring the two former heavyweight champions together.

Netflix confirmed the fight on Thursday following months of speculation surrounding when and where the showdown would take place. Cardiff has now secured the event, with the Principality Stadium providing the setting for one of the biggest British boxing events of recent years.

Both fighters have already appeared in major Netflix boxing events. Joshua defeated Jake Paul by knockout in December 2025, while Fury returned to the ring in April 2026 and defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov by unanimous decision.

Their records now stand at 36 wins, two defeats and one draw for Fury, while Joshua has 30 victories and four defeats.

The full undercard has not yet been announced, although organisers have promised a line-up featuring major fighters from around the world. Further details, including the start time for the main event, are also still to come.

Fury and Joshua are due to appear together at a press conference in London on September 30 as the build-up to the December fight begins.

The confirmation also gives Netflix another major live sporting event as the streaming service continues expanding beyond traditional films and television into global live programming.

For British viewers, there will be no separate pay-per-view charge. The fight will be available to Netflix members as part of their existing subscription.
