Tyler Perry's The Gospel of Christmas Trailer Features Gospel Music Legends
Tyler Perry's The Gospel of Christmas trailer brings Fantasia Barrino, Tank and gospel music legends together ahead of its Netflix release on 11 November.
Fantasia Barrino and Tank lead a powerful musical cast in the trailer for Tyler Perry's upcoming Netflix film The Gospel of Christmas, which brings together some of gospel music's best-known performers.
Tank plays Isaac, a pastor who takes his family to New York after being tasked with rebuilding a struggling church. With the building facing foreclosure, Isaac must confront his doubts and rediscover his faith if he is to save the church, his family and the wider community before Christmas.
Barrino plays Rebecca, Isaac's wife, whose fears for her husband become part of the emotional heart of the story.
The film also features gospel stars including CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Shirley Caesar, Hezekiah Walker and members of The Clark Sisters. Their involvement gives the production a strong musical identity, with a soundtrack spanning contemporary and classic gospel alongside rap and holiday music.
Perry wrote and directed the film, drawing inspiration from the songs that helped him through difficult periods in his own life. Legendary gospel producer Kirk Franklin worked on the soundtrack, bringing together the musical performances that help drive the story.
The trailer offers a first look at the church's struggle and Isaac's personal journey, with music playing a central role in the film's themes of faith, temptation and redemption.
The Gospel of Christmas arrives on Netflix on 11 November 2026, ahead of the festive season.
