The AI tools behind Océane Terrettaz’s films: ChatGPT, Kling and CapCut

Creating one of Océane Terrettaz’s films involves several different stages, and no single AI tool is responsible for the finished result. Her current workflow combines image generation, animation and traditional video editing, with each platform performing a different part of the process.

Océane begins by developing the story and deciding how she wants individual scenes to look before creating the images. Once those visuals are ready, they need to be transformed from still frames into moving sequences and eventually brought together as a complete film.

ChatGPT currently handles the image-generation stage of Océane’s process. Those images provide the visual foundations for her scenes, with particular attention needed to ensure characters and the overall style remain consistent as the story progresses.

The next stage takes those still images and adds movement. Océane uses Kling for this part of the workflow, bringing the characters and scenes to life through video while working towards the movements, expressions and emotions she wants to see on screen.

Getting that result can involve experimentation rather than accepting the first generation. Océane has explained that some scenes need several attempts before they match what she originally pictured, making selection and creative judgement an important part of the process.

Once the individual sequences are ready, the project moves into CapCut for its final edit. This is where the separate scenes become one film and decisions around music, timing and pacing help establish how the finished story feels.

The combination of the three platforms also shows why describing an AI-created film as the product of a single prompt can miss much of what happens behind the finished video. Océane moves between different tools while continuing to make decisions about the story, visuals, movement and final presentation throughout.

Her process is ultimately a mixture of AI generation and hands-on creative choices. ChatGPT creates the images, Kling provides the video generation and CapCut becomes the place where those elements are assembled and refined into the story audiences eventually see.

As the tools available to AI creators continue to change, Océane’s current setup offers a clear look at how several technologies can be combined within one creative workflow rather than expecting one platform to do everything.
