Samantha and Sarah Grow Closer After Gabriel Reveals the Truth About Louise
Samantha brings Sarah’s house valuation to the pub, where Gabriel reveals how Louise died before Sarah begins to open up and asks when they will meet again.
In episode 4-6 of SamSarahwlw , Samantha arrives at the pub with a simple reason for seeing Sarah. She has brought the house valuation directly from the agency, explaining that it seemed easier to deliver it herself, but the visit soon becomes more personal after Sarah briefly steps away.
That gives Samantha the chance to meet Gabriel, the man she spoke to on the phone the previous evening. Their conversation quickly turns to Louise, a subject Sarah has barely discussed with Samantha so far.
Gabriel tells Samantha how Louise died
Samantha explains that Sarah only told her Louise died three years ago. Gabriel says Sarah rarely talks about the things that hurt her, and Samantha immediately worries that she may have been too intrusive by bringing the subject up.
Gabriel reassures her that she would have found out eventually. He then reveals that Louise died in a car accident and that Sarah was the only person who survived.
The information clearly affects Samantha. Until that point, she knew almost nothing about what happened, but Gabriel’s explanation gives her a much clearer understanding of why Sarah may find the subject so difficult to discuss.
When Sarah returns, Gabriel leaves the two women together. Samantha then turns back to the reason she came in the first place and asks Sarah for a few minutes to go through the house valuation.
Sarah makes clear how much the house means to her
Sarah suggests they step outside where it is quieter. As they begin discussing the property, she tells Samantha that the house is priceless to her, making it clear that the sale carries significant personal importance.
Samantha keeps the conversation professional and goes through the contract terms. Even so, the tone between them continues to soften as the meeting moves beyond the paperwork.
Sarah asks whether Samantha has finished for the day and then invites her to stay for a drink. What begins as a short five minute break soon lasts much longer, giving them more time together away from the formal side of the house sale.
Samantha gives Sarah space
During the drink, Sarah asks whether Gabriel told Samantha anything. Samantha admits that he told her a little, but she immediately makes it clear that Sarah does not have to explain anything if she does not want to.
Sarah thanks her and then says that perhaps one day she will tell Samantha about Louise herself. Samantha simply tells her to do it when she is ready, allowing Sarah to keep control of how much she wants to share.
That exchange becomes one of the most important moments between them. Samantha now knows more about Sarah’s past, but instead of using that knowledge to push for answers, she leaves the door open for Sarah to talk when she chooses.
Sarah finds another reason to see Samantha
As their time together comes to an end, Sarah asks when they will see each other again. She quickly adds that she means for the apartment viewing and the sale of the house, keeping the question tied to business even as their growing interest in one another becomes more noticeable.
Samantha says she can call the following day or they can meet if Sarah prefers. Sarah then points out that the next day is St Patrick’s Day, creating another opportunity for the two women to spend time together.
Samantha may have come to the pub with a valuation, but by the end of the meeting the house is no longer the only thing connecting them. Their conversations are becoming more personal, while the growing chemistry between them is increasingly difficult to ignore.
