Samantha and Sarah Grow Closer After Gabriel Reveals Louise’s Tragic Fate
Samantha learns the heartbreaking truth about Louise before growing closer to Sarah during an emotional meeting and St Patrick’s Day night at the pub.
Samantha’s visit to the pub begins as a simple business call, but it quickly becomes much more personal when she learns the truth about Sarah’s past. By the end of the evening, the house valuation is almost secondary as Samantha and Sarah begin finding reasons to spend more time together.
Gabriel tells Samantha what happened to Louise
Samantha arrives at the pub with the valuation for Sarah’s house, explaining that she thought it would be easier to deliver the report herself. While Sarah steps away, Samantha finally meets Gabriel, the man she had spoken to on the phone the previous evening.
Their conversation soon turns to Louise. Samantha only knows that Louise died three years earlier, but Gabriel gently explains why Sarah finds the subject so difficult. Louise was killed in a car accident and Sarah was the only survivor.
The revelation clearly affects Samantha. Gabriel also warns her that Sarah rarely talks about the things that hurt her, giving Samantha a better understanding of the grief Sarah has been carrying.
Sarah begins to open up
After discussing the house outside, Samantha appears ready to leave, but Sarah asks whether she has time for a drink. Five minutes soon becomes much longer as the pair settle into an increasingly comfortable conversation.
Sarah realises Gabriel may have spoken about Louise and asks Samantha what she knows. Samantha does not push for answers, simply telling Sarah that she does not have to explain anything.
That response seems to matter. Sarah admits that perhaps one day she will tell Samantha about Louise herself, while Samantha quietly assures her she can do so whenever she feels ready.
St Patrick’s Day brings them even closer
Their conversation ends with another reason to meet when Sarah invites Samantha back to the pub for St Patrick’s Day. Samantha promises to come, and she keeps that promise.
Sarah is visibly pleased when Samantha walks through the door. Although the busy night is not quite what Sarah imagined when she invited her, Samantha insists she is enjoying herself and tells Sarah that it is good to see her happy.
The attraction between them becomes harder to miss as the night continues. When Samantha prepares to leave, Sarah asks her not to go, and Samantha stays.
Their evening finally ends with Sarah offering to walk Samantha back to the agency, even though it is only across the street. It is a small gesture, but after a night filled with lingering looks and increasingly personal conversations, neither woman seems particularly eager for their time together to end.
The episode leaves Samantha and Sarah moving closer while Louise’s story remains an important part of Sarah’s past.
