The Liverpool Echo reports that Rebecca Ferguson is in talks with the BBC about potentially representing the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2027, although nothing has been officially confirmed.

According to the report, the Liverpool singer is being considered as a possible UK entrant for next year’s contest in Burgas, Bulgaria. Neither the BBC nor Rebecca’s representatives have confirmed that talks are taking place or that she has been selected, so she remains a reported contender at this stage.

Rebecca rose to fame after finishing runner up on The X Factor in 2010 and has since released five studio albums. Eurovision fans may also remember her from the 2023 contest in Liverpool, where she appeared during the first semi final alongside Ukrainian singer Alyosha.

The reports come as preparations for Eurovision 2027 continue, although the BBC has not yet announced who will represent the UK or when its entry will be revealed.

Eurovision 2027 takes place in Burgas, Bulgaria, with the Grand Final on 15 May. SoapLandTV will be following the UK selection closely, alongside further Eurovision coverage, artist updates and travel guides in the build up to the contest.
