Pinocchio Returns to Shakespeare’s Globe With New Christmas Cast
Shakespeare’s Globe announces the cast of Pinocchio for Christmas 2026, with Lee Braithwaite returning alongside Gabrielle Brooks and Colm Gormley.
Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the cast for the return of Pinocchio, its family musical adaptation of the classic children’s story, ahead of a new Christmas run in London.
Lee Braithwaite will reprise the title role following the production’s original performances in 2025, while Gabrielle Brooks joins as the Blue Fairy and Colm Gormley takes on the role of Geppetto.
The musical returns to the Globe Theatre on 28 November 2026 and continues until 3 January 2027.
Who is joining the Pinocchio cast?
Alongside the returning lead, the cast includes Amy Booth-Steel as Giacomo Cricket, the Coachman and Cat, with Luke Brady playing Carpenter and Rabbit Prince Charming.
Kerry Frampton returns as Fox and Ed Gaughan reprises Franzini, while Aya Nakamura and Andrea Sadler return as puppeteers.
The production combines live music, theatrical storytelling and puppetry to retell Carlo Collodi’s classic story of a wooden puppet who dreams of becoming human.
It is directed by Shakespeare’s Globe Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes, with book and lyrics by Charlie Josephine and music and lyrics by Jim Fortune.
The musical originally premiered in November 2025 and is returning following its first festive season.
