One Fluid Night brings LGBTQ+ film festival to Paris

International LGBTQ+ film festival One Fluid Night returns to Paris on 23 and 24 October 2026, bringing two days of queer cinema to the French capital. The programme forms part of a festival that began in London and now showcases LGBTQIA+ filmmakers from around the world.

One Fluid Night presents short films, feature films, animation and documentaries exploring identity, relationships and different experiences across the LGBTQ+ community. The Paris dates follow the growth of the festival's main London edition and its first expansion into France.

What kind of films does the festival show?

The festival concentrates on independent queer cinema rather than only established studio releases. Emerging filmmakers share programmes with more experienced creators, giving audiences an opportunity to discover stories that may never receive a mainstream theatrical release.

Previous editions demonstrate how quickly the festival has expanded. Its fifth event presented 11 feature films and 113 shorts from 34 countries, with work available both in cinemas and online.

The first international Paris edition then introduced a curated programme of queer short films and five competition awards. The 23 and 24 October 2026 event continues that international expansion with another two-day programme.

Why does One Fluid Night matter?

Smaller LGBTQ+ festivals provide something major streaming platforms cannot always reproduce. Audiences watch queer stories together while filmmakers can meet people responding directly to their work.

The organisers describe the festival as an inclusive space for people across gender identities and sexual orientations. Supporting independent LGBTQ+ filmmaking is central to the event, alongside simply providing an enjoyable cinema programme.

Further details about individual Paris screenings and ticket availability are being released through the festival.
