Netflix Unveils Four New Christmas Films in 2026 Holiday Teaser

Netflix has revealed a first look at four new Christmas films arriving on the streaming service during the 2026 holiday season, with its latest teaser bringing together romantic comedy, family drama and a faith-centred festive story.

The preview, reported on Sunday, 11 October, offers audiences an early glimpse of the upcoming releases and their casts. The films include A Dog's Perfect Christmas, Tyler Perry's The Gospel of Christmas, Guarding Stars and In a Holidaze, with releases scheduled from November into December.

A Dog's Perfect Christmas follows a family struggling through a difficult period, with a teenager, her grandfather and their loyal basset hound helping to bring the household together. The film stars Dennis Quaid and Mary Steenburgen, alongside Milo Ventimiglia and Jennifer Tilly, and is directed by Cathryn Michon.

Tyler Perry's The Gospel of Christmas takes a more explicitly religious approach to the festive season. The story follows a pastor who inherits a struggling church in a troubled New York neighbourhood and must confront personal doubts and outside pressures as he tries to save the congregation. Its cast includes Fantasia Barrino, Tank, Yolanda Adams and several prominent gospel performers.

Guarding Stars brings romance and action together through the story of a bodyguard who falls for the action star he has been hired to protect. The film stars Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki and is scheduled to arrive on 18 November.

The fourth title, In a Holidaze, takes a time-loop approach to Christmas storytelling. Maddie Ziegler plays a young woman who finds herself repeatedly reliving the holiday period as she tries to work out what she really wants from life. The film is scheduled for release on 2 December.

The teaser gives viewers an early introduction to the different stories, but Netflix is expected to release fuller trailers and further behind-the-scenes material during the coming week. The first-look footage provides a preview of the platform's festive slate rather than complete trailers for every title.

With four films aimed at different audiences, Netflix is preparing a varied holiday offering that ranges from family-friendly storytelling to romance and musical performances. The release dates also spread the films across November and December, giving subscribers several new options as the Christmas viewing season approaches.
