Netflix Reveals Miracles of the ER Trailer Ahead of November Release

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Miracles of the ER, a new Taiwanese medical drama following doctors working under pressure inside a hospital emergency department.

The eight-episode series stars Wallace Huo, Cheryl Yang and Kent Tsai, alongside Chan Tzu-hsuan and Payne Peng, and will premiere worldwide on 12 November 2026.

Described as Taiwan’s first medical workplace drama centred on an emergency department, the production explores the difficult decisions facing hospital staff and the emotional consequences of their work.

What is Miracles of the ER about?

Set at Yang-Da University Hospital, the story follows three newly recruited medical residents as they begin working in emergency medicine.

Among them is Lin Geng-ming, played by Kent Tsai, an average-performing medical graduate given an opportunity by senior doctor Chou Cheng-jun, played by Wallace Huo.

Lin joins fellow residents Tang Hsi and Chiang Tung-yen, with the inexperienced doctors facing urgent medical situations and demanding responsibilities.

Cheryl Yang plays senior physician He Yu-hua, who helps guide the team through difficult cases.

The newly released trailer introduces the residents and highlights the challenges of treating critically ill patients while managing disagreements, ethical questions and relationships within the hospital.

Who created the new Netflix drama?

Miracles of the ER reunites members of the creative team behind Taiwanese emergency-services drama Tears on Fire.

Director Isaac Li, writer-director Huang Ching-tsu and producer Jade Lee have returned to explore another profession where difficult decisions can carry serious consequences.

The series will also examine relationships between doctors and patients, including the emotional pressures experienced by families during medical emergencies.

All eight episodes of Miracles of the ER are scheduled to arrive on Netflix worldwide, including the UK, on Thursday 12 November 2026.
