National Television Awards 2026: Full Nominees, Voting, Tickets and Where to Watch

The National Television Awards return on Tuesday 8 September with a huge night of British television ahead, and soap fans have plenty of reasons to get involved.

Joel Dommett will host the ceremony for the sixth year from London’s O2 Arena, with the show broadcast live from 8pm. The awards are decided by viewers, with votes from both stages of voting combined to determine the winners.

Coronation Street, Emmerdale, EastEnders, Hollyoaks and Casualty are all in contention for Serial Drama, while several familiar soap faces have also reached the final five for Serial Drama Performance.

How to vote in the National Television Awards 2026

The final public vote is open through the official National Television Awards website and is free to enter online. Voting closes at 12pm on Tuesday 8 September, just eight hours before the live ceremony begins.

The NTAs use a two stage voting system. Votes cast during the earlier longlist stage are combined with votes from the current shortlist stage to decide the eventual winners, so every vote already cast remains part of the final result.

For soap fans, that means another opportunity to get behind Coronation Street, Emmerdale, EastEnders, Hollyoaks or Casualty before voting closes.

Fans can also attend the ceremony at The O2, with general tickets currently starting from £21 plus booking and venue fees.

Other general seating options are priced at £26, £36, £41 and £93 depending on the position and view inside the arena.

Ticket availability can change as the ceremony gets closer, so anyone planning to attend should check the official NTA ticket page before booking.

Where to watch the National Television Awards 2026

The National Television Awards will be broadcast live from The O2 from 8pm on Tuesday 8 September.

UK viewers can watch on ITV1 and ITVX, while the ceremony will also be available through STV and STV Player.

It promises to be a particularly strong night for soap fans. Coronation Street and Emmerdale may be giving up their usual Tuesday slots to make room for the ceremony, but both shows will instead be competing for one of the biggest awards of the night alongside EastEnders, Hollyoaks and Casualty.

With Gareth Pierce, Sue Devaney, Jeff Hordley, Aaron Thiara and Paul Bradley also battling for Serial Drama Performance, the soaps will be right at the centre of the NTAs rather than simply making way for them.
