National Television Awards 2026 Final Vote Opens as Soaps and Huge TV Names Battle for NTA Glory
NTA 2026 final voting is open as Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks stars battle for National Television Awards glory.
The final vote for the National Television Awards 2026 is underway, with some of television’s biggest shows and stars competing for trophies ahead of the ceremony on Tuesday 8 September.
Joel Dommett returns to host the NTAs live from The O2 in London, with viewers now having the final say over who takes home the awards.
Soap fans have plenty to vote for, with Coronation Street, EastEnders and Emmerdale among the shows battling across several major categories.
Soap stars face major NTA battle
Sue Devaney, who plays Debbie Webster in Coronation Street, and Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd Grimshaw, are both nominated for Serial Drama Performance.
They face competition from EastEnders star Aaron Thiara, who plays Ravi Gulati, and Emmerdale’s Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle, alongside Paul Bradley, who plays Nigel Bates in EastEnders.
The soaps themselves are also competing for Serial Drama, with EastEnders looking to retain the title after winning last year. Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks are among its rivals.
Elsewhere, the Drama Performance category includes Sheridan Smith for I Fought the Law and Vicky McClure for Trigger Point, alongside Bella Ramsey for The Other Bennet Sister, Judy Parfitt for Call the Midwife and Ruth Jones for Run Away.
The New Drama category is also highly competitive, with The Other Bennet Sister, I Fought the Law, Heated Rivalry, Blue Lights, Bridgerton and Call the Midwife among the contenders.
Reality Competition sees I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, The Celebrity Traitors, Race Across the World, I’m a Celebrity’s South Africa spin-off and The Traitors competing for the award.
Ant and Dec will also attempt to extend their extraordinary NTA record by winning TV Presenter for a 25th consecutive year.
Voting is open online at nationaltvawards.com and closes at midday on Tuesday 8 September 2026. Winners will be announced during the ceremony on ITV1 later that evening.
