MobLand Season 2 Brings Tom Hardy Back for Another Brutal Crime War

Tom Hardy is heading back into London’s criminal underworld as MobLand prepares to return for a second season, with Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan once again joining him at the centre of the Harrigan family empire.

The Paramount+ crime drama became one of the biggest gangster series to arrive last year, combining a heavyweight cast with the kind of slick violence, expensive locations and ruthless power struggles that made it an immediate watch for crime drama fans. Season 2 arrives on 18 September, and the Harrigans are nowhere near finished.

Hardy returns as Harry Da Souza, the fixer who repeatedly finds himself dealing with the consequences of the family’s increasingly dangerous decisions. Mirren is back as Maeve Harrigan, while Brosnan reprises his role as Conrad Harrigan as fresh threats begin closing in on their criminal operation.

The new season picks up following the explosive fallout of the first run. The Harrigan family may have survived their previous war, but their position now comes with new enemies, fractured relationships and another battle to retain control.

It is also arriving at a particularly good time for viewers enjoying the return of stylish British crime drama. With The Gentlemen currently back on Netflix, MobLand offers another mix of criminal empires, family power struggles and characters who are rarely more than one bad decision away from disaster.

There are 10 episodes in Season 2, with Paramount+ releasing a new episode every Friday rather than dropping the entire run at once. That means the latest Harrigan war will continue throughout the autumn.

There is already confidence in where MobLand is heading beyond this season too. Paramount+ has confirmed that the series will continue into Season 3, meaning the upcoming episodes are not being positioned as the end of Harry or the Harrigan family story.

For viewers who missed the first run, there is still enough time to catch up before Season 2 begins. Anyone already invested in Hardy’s increasingly complicated fixer will not have much longer to wait.
