Miss Saigon returns to London’s West End after more than a decade
Miss Saigon tickets are now on sale as the hit musical prepares to return to London’s West End for its first season in more than a decade.
Miss Saigon will return to London’s West End on 13 May 2027, bringing the musical back to the Prince Edward Theatre. Tickets are available for the limited season, which is currently booking until 8 January 2028.
The London engagement follows the production’s UK and Ireland tour and marks its first West End season in more than a decade. It also returns the musical to the theatre where its previous London revival played from 2014 to 2016.
Created by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, Miss Saigon draws its inspiration from Puccini’s opera Madama Butterfly. The musical relocates that story to the Vietnam War, following a relationship shaped by the conflict and the fall of Saigon.
At its heart are Kim, a young Vietnamese woman, and Chris, an American soldier who falls in love with her. Their relationship begins during the final days of the war, before the fall of Saigon separates them and changes both their lives.
The musical originally premiered at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane in September 1989. Its first production remained there for more than ten years, closing in October 1999 after over 4,000 performances.
The score includes The Movie in My Mind, Last Night of the World and The American Dream. Those songs will return to the West End as part of the new production presented by Cameron Mackintosh in association with Michael Harrison.
Miss Saigon plays at London’s Prince Edward Theatre from 13 May 2027, with performances currently booking until 8 January 2028. Tickets for the London season are available now.
