Miranda Hart declares 'Big Mix is born' after Celebrity Traitors dance with Leigh-Anne Pinnock

Miranda Hart has decided she is a pop star, and she would very much like Leigh-Anne Pinnock to come along for the ride. The comedian has shared a video on Instagram captioned "Big Mix is born", showing off more of the moves she picked up from the former Little Mix singer during Friday's episode of The Celebrity Traitors, complete with a mock-up of a debut album and the suggestion that the pair would surely be heading into the studio together.

The routine came at a low moment for Hart in the castle. Her friend Joe Lycett had just been banished at the round table after a slip that left him with the most votes, and he was revealed to be a Faithful, which meant the Traitors had escaped once more. Pinnock set about lifting Hart's spirits by offering to teach her a Little Mix dance move, and before long the two were performing together on the castle floor in the Scottish Highlands, with Hart proudly introducing the act as "Little Mix and... Big Mix!"

Pinnock has since replied with a video of her own, declaring that "Big Mix are taking over". Whether a single ever materialises is anyone's guess (we would love it!), but the exchange has handed the series one of its warmest moments so far, and a welcome break from the suspicion that has followed the celebrities into every round table.

It also makes for an unlikely double act. Pinnock found fame as one of the four members of Little Mix after the group was formed on The X Factor in 2011, while Hart is best known for her BBC sitcom Miranda and her role as Chummy in Call the Midwife. Inside the castle, though, both are simply players trying to work out who they can trust, and a friendship built on dance lessons could prove useful as the numbers fall.

Hart and Pinnock are among the 21 famous faces taking part in the second series of the BBC One show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, alongside the likes of Michael Sheen, Bella Ramsey, Richard E. Grant and Maya Jama. If you need a reminder of who everyone is, our guide to the Celebrity Traitors 2026 cast runs through all of them.

With Lycett gone and the Traitors still hidden among them, the Faithfuls will need to sharpen their instincts quickly, and viewers will be watching to see whether Big Mix can stay together long enough to make it to the end.

The Celebrity Traitors continues on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
