Matthew Perry Netflix documentary shares his sister’s private memories
Matthew’s sister Mia shares her memories in The One About Matthew Perry, a three-part Netflix documentary premiering on 27 October.
Matthew Perry’s sister Mia is speaking about her brother on camera for the first time in a new Netflix documentary. The three-part series The One About Matthew Perry premieres on Netflix in the UK on Tuesday 27 October 2026, with its trailer now released.
The three-part series combines memories from those closest to the Friends star with previously unreleased photographs and videos from the family archive. It follows his career alongside his private struggles with addiction and the friendships that shaped his life.
Mia is joined by longtime friends Roger Castillo and David Pressman, who are also speaking about Matthew on camera for the first time. Roger met him at 17 and later drove him to the audition that led to Friends.
Contributors include former NBC executive Warren Littlefield, who approved the Friends pilot. Friends writer and producer Jeff Strauss also takes part.
Matthew played Chandler across all ten seasons of Friends, from 1994 to 2004. His death in October 2023, aged 54, came almost two decades after the sitcom ended, with the role still central to how audiences knew him.
Mary Robertson directs the series, which is produced by Maxine Productions. It explores the life of the man audiences knew as Chandler Bing.
