Love Island star Amber Davies leads huge Legally Blonde UK tour

Legally Blonde is going back on the road, with television personality turned musical theatre star Amber Davies taking over as Elle Woods in a major UK tour.

Amber Davies first became widely known when she won Love Island in 2017, but she has since built a substantial career in musical theatre. Her stage credits include Pretty Woman and 9 to 5 The Musical, while she has also competed on Strictly Come Dancing. She now takes on one of musical theatre’s most recognisable leading roles as Elle Woods.

The tour begins at Edinburgh Playhouse on 29 September before visiting Aylesbury, Wimbledon, Manchester, Stoke, Woking, Sunderland and Brighton. The current autumn and Christmas run continues until 2 January 2027.

Legally Blonde is based on the hit film starring Reese Witherspoon as Elle, a fashion obsessed student who follows her former boyfriend to Harvard Law School before discovering that she is far more capable than everyone around her expects.

What starts as an attempt to win him back gradually becomes a story about Elle finding her own confidence and legal talent. The musical keeps the comedy and romance of the film while turning Elle’s transformation into a large scale stage production.

Amber is joined by George Crawford as Emmett, while Hannah Lowther plays Margot and serves as alternate Elle at selected performances. The production comes from director Nikolai Foster and the creative team behind the successful stage revival of Kinky Boots.

Manchester receives one of the longer stops on the autumn tour, with performances at the Opera House from 3 to 14 November. Sunderland follows from 1 to 5 December before Brighton hosts the production across Christmas and New Year.
