Logies 2026 Winners: RFDS and Deadloch Score Major Victories at Australian TV Awards

The 2026 TV WEEK Logie Awards have delivered major wins for two Australian dramas familiar to international (and SoaplandTV) audiences, with RFDS taking home Best Drama Program and Deadloch star Steve Bisley winning Best Actor in a Comedy.

RFDS secured one of the night's biggest television prizes as the Seven Network series was named Best Drama Program, marking the second time the drama has won the category.

Meanwhile, Steve Bisley was recognised for his performance in Deadloch, taking home the award for Best Actor in a Comedy as the acclaimed Australian series added another major accolade to its growing reputation.

RFDS wins Best Drama Program for second time

Set across regional and remote Australia, RFDS follows the doctors, nurses, pilots and support staff working for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the communities whose lives depend upon them.

Its latest Logie victory saw the series overcome competition including Heartbreak High and Mystery Road: Origin to secure Best Drama Program for a second time.

The real Royal Flying Doctor Service celebrated the result following the ceremony, congratulating the cast, crew and creative teams behind the television drama.

It described the award as recognition of the "dedication, care and talent" involved in bringing RFDS stories to Australian audiences, while highlighting the show's portrayal of healthcare across vast distances and the regional communities at the heart of the Flying Doctor's work.

The organisation also thanked the production team and Seven Network, describing the recognition as a tribute to stories connecting viewers with the vital work carried out by the RFDS.

Deadloch's Steve Bisley wins Best Actor in a Comedy

There was also reason for Deadloch fans to celebrate, with Steve Bisley named Best Actor in a Comedy for his performance in the Prime Video series.

The award adds another achievement for the darkly comic Australian mystery series, which has developed an international following through Prime Video.

Bisley's victory puts Deadloch among the major scripted winners from the 2026 ceremony, alongside RFDS and several other high-profile Australian productions.

Sam Neill receives posthumous Logie

Elsewhere, the late Sam Neill was posthumously named Best Lead Actor in a Drama for his performance in The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer.

His close friend and fellow actor Heather Mitchell accepted the award on his behalf, paying tribute to Neill and the importance the series and his character Brett Colby had held for him.

Brooke Satchwell won Best Lead Actress in a Drama for Dear Life, while Simon Baker received Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for The Narrow Road to the Deep North.

Claudia Karvan was named Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for Homebodies.

Sam Pang takes the Gold Logie

The night's top individual honour went to comedian and presenter Sam Pang, who won the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality.

Robert Irwin picked up the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter, while Lila McGuire won the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent for Goolagong.

Goolagong was also named Best Miniseries or Telemovie, while Dog Park won Best Scripted Comedy Program and Celia Pacquola took Best Actress in a Comedy for the series.
