Line of Duty star Martin Compston opens up his Las Vegas life in new Channel 4 series
Line of Duty star Martin Compston opens up his Las Vegas life in new Channel 4 series Living Las Vegas. Find out when it starts and where to watch.
Martin Compston is swapping police interrogations for the bright lights of Las Vegas as he takes viewers inside the city that has become a huge part of his life in a new Channel 4 series.
Martin Compston: Living Las Vegas begins on Wednesday 23 September at 10pm, with the three-part series following Martin as he explores a side of Vegas that goes far beyond the casinos, neon lights and famous Strip. The Scottish actor spends part of each year in the city with his wife Tianna, who is from Las Vegas, and their son.
Despite having lived there for years, Martin admits there is still plenty about his adopted city that he has never experienced. The series takes him away from everyday family life in the suburbs and into some of the extraordinary places, communities and experiences that make Las Vegas unlike anywhere else.
Martin Compston gets the full Las Vegas experience
The opening episode throws Martin straight into the kind of excess for which Vegas has become famous. He visits an incredible $25,000 hotel suite complete with its own basketball court, before getting behind the scenes at one of the city’s most recognisable attractions.
Martin joins the water maintenance crew responsible for keeping the Bellagio fountains running, giving viewers a rare look at the work involved in maintaining the spectacular attraction. He also watches a British couple get married at the famous Little White Wedding Chapel before heading to the Palms Hotel casino, where Channel 4 says he gambles a small fortune.

But Living Las Vegas isn’t simply about casinos and luxury hotels. Martin heads beyond the Strip to discover more of the city’s food, culture and communities, while his journey also takes him into the spectacular landscape surrounding Las Vegas and towards the Grand Canyon.
For Martin, making the programme gave him the opportunity to properly explore somewhere that has become increasingly important to him.
“Greenock’s always going to be my home, but that place has become a huge part of my life. So it was it was so lovely to experience it more and see different sides”
Could his Line of Duty co-stars be heading to Vegas?
Martin’s other television life inevitably follows him to Nevada too, and he revealed that he has been trying to tempt Line of Duty co-stars Adrian Dunbar and Vicky McClure into joining him in Las Vegas.
“We keep threatening to have like a Line of Duty read through in Vegas,” Martin said.
The actor already has favourite bars and restaurants in mind should Adrian and Vicky eventually make the trip, bringing a little taste of AC-12 to Nevada.
The new series ultimately gives Martin the chance to show viewers why Las Vegas has become far more to him than somewhere associated with casinos and holidays.
After years of splitting his time between Scotland and Nevada, Living Las Vegas allows him to explore the place he already knows while discovering parts of it that even he had previously missed.
