Oasis fans are about to see something that has been missing for more than two decades as Liam and Noel Gallagher sit down together for a joint interview in their new documentary.

Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger follows the brothers through their huge 2025 reunion and gives viewers access to rehearsals, backstage moments and performances from the Live ’25 tour. At the heart of the film is the sight of Liam and Noel being interviewed together again after years of their relationship being played out separately in public.

The significance goes far beyond another music documentary. Oasis split in 2009 following years of tension between the brothers, with Liam and Noel then pursuing separate careers and spending more than a decade apart.

Their reconciliation eventually led to the Oasis comeback announced in 2024 and the Live ’25 tour the following year.

Behind the scenes of the Oasis reunion

The tour began in Cardiff on 4 July 2025 and eventually travelled through the UK, Ireland, North America, Asia, Australia and South America. It concluded in São Paulo on 23 November 2025 after 41 shows.

Cameras were there as the reunion took shape, giving the documentary footage from rehearsals as well as access backstage and on stage throughout the comeback.

Directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace also captured Liam and Noel spending significant time together again after years apart. The filmmakers deliberately tried to make their cameras as unobtrusive as possible during rehearsals, allowing the brothers’ reunion to unfold without a large production crew constantly surrounding them.

Steven Knight, best known as the creator of Peaky Blinders, created the documentary, with Southern and Lovelace directing.

Oasis documentary makes its Venice debut

The finished film received its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on 5 September, where Liam and Noel made a rare public appearance together.

Footage from the premiere showed Noel appearing emotional during the lengthy applause, while Liam looked at his watch before remaining alongside the rest of the team. The brothers later moved among fans to sign autographs and pose for photographs.

When is Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger released?

Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger arrives in cinemas and IMAX on 11 September 2026.

It will then be released on Disney+ later in 2026, although an exact UK streaming date has not yet been announced.

For Oasis fans, the combination of unseen reunion footage, access away from the stadium stages and Liam and Noel finally being interviewed together makes this much more than a straightforward concert film.
