Kelly Rowland Performs Surprise Blind Audition as The Voice UK 2026 Return Date Is Confirmed

Kelly Rowland has turned the tables on The Voice UK by stepping onto the stage for a surprise Blind Audition of her own, giving viewers their first proper taste of what she will bring to the famous red chairs.

ITV has released new footage showing the Destiny’s Child star performing in front of her fellow coaches as excitement builds for the return of The Voice UK. The teaser also confirms exactly when the 2026 series will begin on ITV1 and ITVX.

Kelly takes to the stage to perform a snippet of “Emotion”, originally recorded by the Bee Gees and later famously covered by Destiny’s Child for their 2001 album Survivor. For a few moments, the new coach gets to experience the same nerve-racking set-up faced by the singers hoping to secure a place in the competition.

The performance gets the reaction she is looking for as the coaches turn their chairs, revealing Kelly before welcoming the international star to the panel. It is a fitting introduction for one of the biggest additions to The Voice UK line-up in recent years.

Kelly will join returning coaches Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am, alongside McFly stars Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, who once again share a double chair.

Emma Willis also returns as host, overseeing the Blind Auditions as a new group of singers attempt to persuade the coaches to turn for them and earn a place on their teams.

Kelly arrives with decades of experience at the highest level of the music industry. Alongside her success with Destiny’s Child, she has built an international solo career, making her a major new signing for the ITV talent show.

The new footage offers an early glimpse of the chemistry between Kelly and the returning coaches before viewers see her begin building her first Voice UK team.

There is not long to wait either. ITV has confirmed that The Voice UK returns at 7pm on Saturday 22 August on ITV1 and ITVX, when the search for the next standout voice officially begins.
