Home and Away Remi attacked after exposing Sonny’s drug secret

Remi is left badly injured in Home and Away after discovering that Sonny is still dealing steroids for Beau and refusing to stay silent about it. What begins as a confrontation between friends quickly escalates into something far more dangerous when Beau learns that Remi knows the truth.

Dana first runs into Remi at the Coffee Cart and proudly shows him her engagement ring. Their conversation soon turns towards the raid at the gym, with Remi asking whether Sonny has told her anything about what happened.

Dana explains that she heard about the raid from Cash and says Sonny has not told her much more. Remi’s response immediately unsettles her, because he makes it clear that he is not surprised Sonny has kept quiet before walking away.

Dana later questions Sonny about Remi’s cryptic behaviour and wonders whether the tension is connected to his failure to speak to police. She encourages Sonny to repair his friendship with Remi, particularly because she wants him to ask Remi to be his best man.

Sonny eventually approaches Remi at Salt and asks whether they can put their problems aside for the sake of his wedding. Remi refuses to agree without getting one answer first and asks Sonny directly whether he is still dealing steroids for Beau.

Sonny freezes rather than answering. For Remi, that reaction tells him everything he needs to know and confirms that Sonny has not walked away from the operation.

Remi makes it clear that he will not stand beside Sonny at the wedding while he remains involved with Beau. Sonny reacts angrily and storms out, leaving Eden to witness the aftermath of the confrontation.

Eden pours Remi a whiskey and gives him the opportunity to explain what just happened. Remi tells her that Sonny is dealing steroids, but he makes her promise not to repeat what he has shared.

The situation becomes far more serious when Beau enters the picture. After learning that Remi has been talking, Beau confronts him at Salt and demands answers about what he has said to police.

Remi refuses to cooperate with Beau, and Beau responds by ordering his associates to deal with him. The threat soon becomes reality, turning a dispute over Sonny’s secret into a violent attack.

The following day, Remi is dumped outside Salt after being badly beaten. He has a bag over his head and is clearly injured, leaving those around him to realise that whoever targeted him wanted to send a very deliberate warning.

Levi rushes to help when he sees Remi, but his own injured hand prevents him from carrying out the kind of examination he normally would. Remi is eventually taken away in an ambulance, while Levi is left devastated by his inability to properly assess him.

For Remi, the attack appears directly connected to what he knows about Beau and Sonny. He challenged Sonny, refused to look the other way and then found himself targeted after Beau discovered he had been speaking about the steroid operation.

The violence also raises the stakes dramatically for everyone connected to Beau. Sonny has already been lying to Dana about the extent of his involvement, while Harper is becoming increasingly frightened by Beau’s behaviour behind closed doors.

Remi’s attack proves that the steroid storyline is no longer simply about secret dealing or broken friendships. Someone has now been seriously hurt, and Beau’s willingness to use violence means anyone who threatens his operation could be at risk.

The biggest question is what Remi does next. He knows why he was attacked and he knows who he believes is behind it, leaving Beau’s attempt to silence him at serious risk of having the opposite effect.
