Home and Away Cash fears Beau may be more dangerous than he thought

Cash begins questioning his previous assessment of Beau in Home and Away as the investigation into steroid dealing at the gym continues to gather momentum.

Tane is already suspicious and questions Sonny directly about whether he has any connection to Beau. Sonny denies any affiliation with him, but that does little to settle Tane’s concerns as more questions continue to surround what has been happening at the gym.

Cash later gives Tane an update on the ongoing investigation. Because the enquiry is active, however, he cannot disclose confidential information about Beau or reveal exactly what police may know at this stage.

That restriction leaves Tane increasingly frustrated. He reminds Cash that he had previously been assured Beau was not a threat, yet the situation now appears far less straightforward than it once did.

Cash does not dismiss the concern. Instead, he admits that he feels bad about what he previously told Tane and now fears that his judgement may have been wrong.

That shift matters because Cash had previously been the one offering reassurance. If even he is beginning to reconsider Beau, Tane’s suspicions are no longer something that can simply be brushed aside.

Sonny also becomes part of the police enquiry when Cash runs into him and Dana at Salt. Cash asks Sonny whether he knows anything about the raid on the gym or the allegations involving steroids, but Sonny claims he has only heard about what happened and denies knowing anything useful.

Dana immediately knows there is more to the situation because she is already aware Sonny bought steroids a few weeks earlier. Although he told her that he had not actually taken them, she knows he has information he has chosen not to share with Cash.

Dana later challenges Sonny over why he stayed quiet. Sonny plays the situation down and says he did not want to tell a police officer that he had bought illegal drugs, but Dana believes speaking up could help identify whoever is behind the operation.

She eventually convinces Sonny that going to the police is the right thing to do. Sonny agrees, but instead of dealing with the situation immediately, he changes direction and takes Dana into the city to buy an engagement ring.

That leaves Cash without information that could potentially prove useful while Tane remains desperate for answers. It also means Sonny is continuing to sit on knowledge linked to an investigation that appears to be moving closer towards Beau.

Cash’s change in attitude is therefore one of the most important developments. He is no longer as confident about Beau as he once was, while Tane’s concerns are becoming harder to dismiss.

The investigation may still be ongoing, but Beau is clearly becoming a bigger source of concern. With Sonny withholding information and Cash now admitting he could have been wrong, the pressure surrounding Beau is starting to build.
