Five major Hollyoaks stories for 31 August to 2 September include Ste’s relapse, Gemma’s deadly plan, Nancy’s MS relapse and Xander’s accusation.
Five big storylines collide in Hollyoaks as Ste struggles with Rex’s death, Gemma faces accusations and Mercedes unknowingly walks into danger.
Ste’s grief takes a worrying turn when he relapses and gets drunk before accusing James of murdering Rex. Warren intervenes, although James surprisingly chooses to protect Ste while he is at such a low point. Leah is later shocked to see how badly her father is struggling, but Ste remains determined to uncover the truth.
Gemma is also facing increasing pressure. Donny begins questioning his daughter, while a touching exchange with Warren is abruptly interrupted by Xander, who accuses Gemma of murder.
Things become considerably more dangerous when Gemma gives Mercedes a spa voucher. Mercedes invites Ste and Leela to join her, unaware that Gemma has sent a gang of men after the car as part of her plan to dispose of Mercedes.
Lucas, meanwhile, returns and attempts to stop Xander from snooping. He later finds himself questioned by Leah and hopes that being honest with his sister could persuade her to reveal secrets of her own.
Nancy also suffers an MS relapse, leading Dee Dee to call Abigail for assistance. However, their relationship soon becomes strained. Dee Dee later nervously faces reading aloud in class while Abigail watches smugly, adding to the pressure she is already under.
With Gemma’s actions threatening Mercedes, Ste and Leela, the fallout surrounding Rex continuing and tensions building elsewhere, the village faces a dangerous few days.
