High Tides Episodes 9 to 11 See Valerie Finally Choose Clara

High Tides moves Clara and Valerie’s story into a much more decisive place in Episodes 9 to 11. Valerie finally stops pretending that her relationship with Gabby still has a future, while Clara begins to see just how serious Valerie is about what is growing between them.

The trouble begins when Valerie realises that Gabby has gone to see Clara after the diving accident. Gabby claims she only wanted to return Valerie’s jacket, but Valerie quickly understands that the visit was about much more than that.

Gabby admits she told Clara that she was getting in the middle of their relationship and insists she was only protecting what belonged to her. Valerie immediately pushes back, making it clear there is no relationship left to protect and that things between them have been over emotionally for a long time.

The argument becomes even more revealing when Gabby points to the photograph Clara took of Valerie, which now has a prominent place in Valerie’s studio. Gabby tells her she looked at Clara in a way she had not looked at her for years, and Valerie does not try to deny it.

Her explanation is painfully simple because Clara saw something in her that Gabby no longer did. That realisation appears to be the final confirmation Valerie needs to stop holding on to a relationship that has already ended.

Valerie Finally Walks Away From Gabby

Valerie tells Gabby it is over and says she will no longer spend another day pretending their relationship is something it is not. She decides to get her things and leave that same day, finally turning months of emotional distance into a clear break.

The story then shifts towards Clara, who is stunned by how far Valerie is prepared to go. When Valerie tells her not to move from the bus station because she is coming to get her, Clara can barely believe what she is hearing.

Valerie follows Clara to Belo Horizonte, where their reunion immediately brings back the teasing chemistry between them. Clara jokes about Valerie’s determination, while Valerie makes it clear that finding her was always going to happen once she made up her mind.

Clara eventually asks what happened back in Arraial, and Valerie gives her the full answer. On the same day Clara left, Valerie ended things with Gabby, moved her belongings out and made sure there could be no confusion about where the relationship stood.

That matters because Clara had already made it clear she would not begin something hidden or unfinished. Valerie has now removed that obstacle herself, leaving both women free to decide what they actually want from each other.

Episodes 9 to 11 mark an important stage in Clara and Valerie’s story because their attraction is no longer simply something sitting beneath the surface. Valerie has made a real choice, and Clara now knows she was serious enough to act on everything she had been feeling.
