Helen Flanagan joins Rita, Sue and Bob Too! UK tour: dates, venues and how to book

Helen Flanagan is heading back to the stage. The former Coronation Street actress has been cast in the 2027 UK tour of Rita, Sue and Bob Too!, Andrea Dunbar's comedy, in which she will play Michelle, the long-suffering wife of the womanising Bob.

Jake Quickenden returns as Bob, the role he played when Regal Entertainments Ltd took the production on tour in 2025. Further casting has yet to be announced, so the actresses who will play the title roles of Rita and Sue are still to be confirmed.

Announcing the news, the production's director said they were "thrilled to announce the wonderful Helen Flanagan is joining the cast of Rita, Sue and Bob Too!", adding that Flanagan "will bring real energy and brilliant comic timing to the role of Michelle".

For soap viewers, Flanagan will always be Rosie Webster, the daughter of Kevin and Sally. She first appeared on the cobbles at just nine years old and played Rosie from 2000 until 2012, before returning to Weatherfield between 2017 and 2018.

Tickets for Rita, Sue & Bob Too! are on sale now through participating theatre box offices. The tour begins at St Helens Theatre Royal in April 2027, with bookings on 01744 756000, and finishes at Liverpool Olympia in July, where tickets are available on 0151 263 6633.
