Emmerdale Thea almost tells Kim the truth before revenge U-turn
Emmerdale’s Thea moves closer to revealing the truth to Kim after an unexpected encounter, before one moment causes her to turn against Kim again.
Thea Ramsden undergoes a dramatic change of heart towards Kim Tate in Emmerdale after an unexpected conversation at Will’s graveside. Having previously been gunning for Kim, Thea is left reflective by their encounter and begins to see her differently.
The shift in Thea’s feelings leads Serena to suggest that perhaps the time has finally come for the truth to be revealed. She tells Thea that maybe she should tell Kim she is her mother, potentially bringing the secret closer to coming out.
Thea’s newfound sympathy is soon tested when she later encounters Kim in the pub. Vinny walks in and Kim loses it, with Thea overhearing what she believes is a blasé attitude towards Baby Tate’s predicament.
The moment completely changes Thea’s feelings again and the sympathy she had developed disappears. Instead of moving closer towards Kim, Thea once again becomes determined to get revenge on her.
Another potential problem emerges when Sarah spots Serena furtively associating with Thea. Sarah becomes suspicious about what she has witnessed, although what she decides to do with that suspicion remains unanswered.
Thea therefore moves from reconsidering her opinion of Kim to wanting revenge again within a matter of days. Serena may believe the time has arrived for Thea to tell Kim the truth, but Thea’s reaction in the pub leaves that prospect looking very different.
