easyJet adds 18 routes from 10 UK airports for next summer, including new Girona flights and more connections to European holiday destinations.
easyJet is expanding its summer holiday network with 18 new routes from 10 UK airports, including its first UK services to Girona. Flights and package holidays went on sale on 24 September for travel in summer 2027.
The Girona routes begin from Liverpool on 28 March and Gatwick on 3 June, operating twice and three times weekly respectively. They offer another arrival point for holidays on Spain’s Costa Brava.
Which airports are getting new routes?
Aberdeen gains Barcelona and Majorca, while Edinburgh adds Bilbao, Hamburg, Rome Fiumicino and Tivat in Montenegro. Birmingham also gains Tivat, alongside Milan Malpensa.
Bristol adds Burgas in Bulgaria and Montpellier in France, while Manchester gains Bastia in Corsica. Gatwick’s second addition is Ajaccio, also in Corsica, and Liverpool adds Murcia.
Newcastle will connect with Larnaca in Cyprus, London Southend with Rhodes and London Luton with Thessaloniki. The new services start between March and July, so passengers should check the launch date for their departure airport before choosing holiday dates.
What should you check before booking?
A new route gives you another airport option, but compare the whole journey before paying. Include the cost of reaching the UK airport, the return fare and onward transport when you land.
It is also worth checking which days both flights operate before reserving accommodation separately. A service running a few times a week may suit a longer holiday better than the particular weekend you have in mind.
For flight-only bookings, the standard free cabin allowance is one small bag measuring up to 45 x 36 x 20cm, including handles and wheels. It must fit under the seat in front and can weigh up to 15kg, provided you can lift and carry it yourself.
A larger cabin bag is a separate allowance unless included through your fare or membership benefits. Its maximum dimensions are 56 x 45 x 25cm, so check your booking before assuming a small suitcase is covered.
Flight-and-hotel packages are also available on the new routes. Compare their inclusions with the total cost of arranging flights, accommodation and any extras separately, particularly if you need more luggage for a week away.
