EastEnders Priya Makes Major Max Decision as Ravi Proposes

Priya Nandra-Hart finally decides she needs to end her secret relationship with Max Branning in upcoming EastEnders scenes, but her attempt to draw a line under their affair comes just as Ravi Gulati prepares to ask her to marry him.

Priya and Max have been secretly seeing each other for weeks, with neither Ravi nor Cindy Beale knowing what has been happening behind their backs. The situation becomes increasingly difficult for Priya as the two relationships surrounding her begin moving towards much more serious commitments.

Cindy is preparing for her hen celebrations ahead of her wedding to Max and asks Priya to help with the party. Priya agrees, but being around the unsuspecting bride leaves her increasingly uncomfortable about what she and Max have been doing.

The guilt finally appears to become too much. Knowing she cannot continue helping Cindy prepare for married life while secretly sleeping with her fiancé, Priya decides the affair has to stop and heads to Max’s flat to tell him that things between them are over.

Ending it may prove more complicated than Priya hopes. Their affair has survived several close calls already, and Max has continued seeing Priya despite preparing to marry Cindy, meaning his response to Priya suddenly calling things off could become crucial.

Priya also has another reason to reconsider what she really wants. Ravi has spent his time back in Walford trying to prove that he has changed and that he wants another chance with the mother of his children, even though Priya has remained reluctant to trust him again.

After talking to Zack Hudson about his troubled love life, Ravi is encouraged to make a grand gesture and show Priya just how serious he is. Ravi takes the advice to heart and arranges for Priya to meet him at The Boxing Den, where he prepares to get down on one knee.

Priya therefore faces two enormous relationship decisions almost at once. She wants to tell Max their affair is finished, but she then has to decide whether ending that relationship means she is genuinely ready to rebuild something with Ravi.

For Ravi, the proposal is intended as proof that he wants a proper future with Priya and their family. For Priya, however, saying yes would mean making a commitment while Ravi remains completely unaware that she has been sleeping with Max.

Whether Priya succeeds in ending things with Max before Ravi proposes remains to be seen, but the secret is becoming increasingly difficult to contain. With Max preparing to marry Cindy and Ravi hoping Priya will become his wife, Priya’s decision could determine the future of both couples.
