Craig Revel Horwood and Paul Chuckle Join Sister Act UK Tour
Craig Revel Horwood, Paul Chuckle and Zoe Birkett will star in the 2027 Sister Act UK tour, although casting varies between venues.
Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood and ChuckleVision favourite Paul Chuckle are heading out on tour together in a new production of Sister Act: The Musical.
Craig will play Mother Superior, while Paul takes on the role of Monsignor O’Hara. West End performer Zoe Birkett will star as Deloris Van Cartier, the aspiring singer who unexpectedly finds herself hiding inside a convent.
The tour opens at New Wimbledon Theatre on 11 September 2027 before visiting venues across the UK and Ireland.
Strictly judge takes on Mother Superior
Craig is best known for his outspoken judging style on Strictly Come Dancing, but he also has an extensive theatre career, including roles in Annie and The Wizard of Oz.
Paul Chuckle became a household name alongside his late brother Barry in the children’s television comedy ChuckleVision, while Zoe’s musical theatre credits include Moulin Rouge! The Musical and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.
Based on the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg, Sister Act follows Deloris as she enters witness protection at a convent and gradually transforms its struggling choir.
The musical features original music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater.
Where is Sister Act touring?
The production visits Sunderland, Sheffield, Bradford and Manchester during autumn 2027, with further performances scheduled into 2028.
However, the announced stars will not appear at every venue or performance.
Craig is not scheduled to perform on Saturdays and will be absent from the Southend and Birmingham engagements. Both Craig and Zoe are also absent from several destinations in early 2028.
Audiences booking specifically to see Craig, Paul or Zoe should check the advertised casting for their chosen performance before purchasing tickets.
Further casting for selected dates will be announced separately.
