Coronation Street’s new trailer reveals Jodie making her move on David before Shona discovers the betrayal and fights back.
Coronation Street has released a dramatic new trailer revealing Jodie Ramsey’s pursuit of David Platt is about to explode into the open.
The official ITV video shows Jodie becoming convinced David could give her the happiness she wants, despite him being married to her sister Shona. At one point, she tells David he deserves someone who will treat him properly.
David reminds her of one rather obvious problem: “I’m your sister’s husband.”
But Jodie isn’t backing down. She questions why Shona should be allowed to stand in the way of their happiness, setting up a major confrontation between the sisters.
Shona warns Jodie to stay away from David
Shona eventually discovers what her sister is doing, and the trailer shows her confronting Jodie with David beside them.
“You need to get away from my husband,” Shona warns, before threatening to drag Jodie away herself.
The development takes Jodie’s increasingly disturbing behaviour in a new direction after her previous manipulation of Shona.
Olivia Frances Brown, who plays Jodie, says her character has convinced herself David represents her chance of future happiness. She also warns that Jodie has a sinister side and viewers don’t yet know what she could be capable of.
The new trailer promises that the love triangle will develop over the coming weeks, leaving David caught between the two sisters as Jodie’s fixation intensifies.
