The Celebrity Traitors is officially returning to BBC One, with the broadcaster confirming the start date for its highly anticipated second series and revealing an additional Claudia Winkleman spin-off.

The psychological reality game returns on Thursday 1 October at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. New episodes will air twice a week on Thursday and Friday evenings at 8pm, bringing another group of famous faces to the Scottish Highlands.

Claudia Winkleman returns as host, with the new trailer showing the celebrities meeting one another before being thrown into an explosive opening mission.

This year’s line-up includes Alan Carr, Bella Ramsey, James Acaster, James Blunt, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Richard E. Grant, Romesh Ranganathan, Ross Kemp and Sharon Rooney among the 20 players.

The celebrities will once again attempt to identify the Traitors hiding among the Faithful while competing for a prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

There is more Traitors content coming alongside the main series. The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked returns immediately after the main show, beginning at 9.15pm on Thursday 1 October across BBC One, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds.

Ed Gamble will be joined by banished and murdered players, with unseen footage, interviews and reactions from the latest instalments.

The BBC has also announced Traitor or Faithful? Claudia Decides, which will reveal more about how Claudia chooses the Traitors. The programme promises new information as she gets to know the players and questions them about their intentions before making her decisions. It will be available on BBC iPlayer from 9.15pm on 1 October.

Expectations are considerable following the success of the first Celebrity Traitors. According to the BBC, the 2025 series averaged 14.9 million viewers across its run, while its finale peaked at 15.4 million.
