Inside Andy Murray's Scottish Hotel as Channel 4 Moves In

Andy Murray and his wife Kim are inviting television viewers inside their stunning Scottish country house hotel for a new Channel 4 documentary, revealing the ambitious transformation of a property that holds special memories for the couple.

But viewers who fall in love with Cromlix while watching Our Scottish Hotel might be surprised to discover they can actually stay there themselves. The luxury five-star retreat, situated near Dunblane in Stirlingshire, welcomes paying guests and has recently reopened following an extensive refurbishment.

The three-part series, arriving on Channel 4 in December 2026, follows Andy, Kim and their 80-strong team as they tackle a major renovation that puts their business ambitions to the test.

Why Cromlix Means So Much to Andy and Kim Murray

Cromlix is far more than another business investment for the former Wimbledon champion. Andy grew up in nearby Dunblane, and the Victorian country house has played an important part in his family's life for years.

The couple purchased the property in 2013, before celebrating their wedding reception there following their marriage in April 2015. Since then, they have worked to establish Cromlix as one of Scotland's distinctive luxury countryside destinations.

Their latest renovation presented an enormous challenge, with construction work taking place while the hotel continued welcoming guests. Cameras followed the couple for almost a year as they navigated building work, business decisions and the pressures of running a five-star establishment.

The hotel eventually closed for several months to complete the transformation before reopening in early summer 2026.

What Can Guests Expect at Cromlix?

Visitors booking a stay today can enjoy the finished refurbishment, including two new dining experiences and expanded wellness facilities.

The Garden Room is a striking glass-fronted restaurant overlooking the hotel's lawns, offering relaxed dining with an emphasis on seasonal Scottish ingredients. For something more intimate, Cradle provides a fine dining experience for just 16 guests, featuring tasting menus inspired by local produce.

The hotel's Woodland Retreat offers treatments in a secluded setting, alongside an outdoor sauna and cold plunge. Guests can also explore the estate's grounds, enjoy afternoon tea in the Glasshouse or simply relax in the peaceful Scottish countryside.

Accommodation ranges from elegant suites and individually designed bedrooms to cottage rooms and the private Laurel Gate Lodge. Three additional bedrooms were created during the refurbishment, including an accessible ground-floor suite.

Cromlix also welcomes dogs and provides family-friendly activities, making it an option for more than romantic countryside escapes.

Can You Book a Stay at Andy Murray's Hotel?
