Britain’s Got Talent confirms The Champions comeback
Britain’s Got Talent is bringing back The Champions for its 20th anniversary, with returning favourites and international acts competing for the title.
Britain’s Got Talent is bringing back The Champions as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations. The all-star competition will return in 2027 alongside a new series of the main talent show.
Previous winners, finalists and fan favourites will compete against performers from international versions of Got Talent. That means the competition will extend beyond familiar British contestants, with acts from across the franchise competing for the title.
The current plan is for The Champions to run for six two-hour episodes in the second half of 2027. The proposed timing and episode lengths remain subject to change
Before that, the main Britain’s Got Talent competition is pencilled in for the first half of the year, with 15 episodes planned. Contestants will perform for the judges as they try to secure a place in the live semi-finals.
The Champions previously aired in 2019, when street-dance duo Twist and Pulse won the title. The pair had finished as runners-up on the main show in 2010 before returning to beat their international rivals.
The anniversary plans therefore give viewers both a new search for talent and a separate competition featuring established performers. Broadcasts are planned for ITV1 and STV, with catch-up viewing through ITVX and STV Player.
