BINGE is continuing to build momentum around Wentworth: Halfway Home, with the new series featuring prominently as the Australian streaming service showcases its upcoming programming.

Owned by Foxtel Group, BINGE carries a mix of local productions and international TV and film. The latest BINGE event brought together familiar Wentworth faces and new cast members as attention turns to one of the platform’s biggest upcoming dramas.

Wentworth: Halfway Home gets major BINGE push

Wentworth: Halfway Home moves the story beyond the prison walls and follows former inmates trying to rebuild their lives on the outside.

Returning stars include Katrina Milosevic as Boomer Jenkins, Nicole da Silva as Franky Doyle and Kate Box as Lou Kelly.

Rachel Griffiths, Sophie Lowe, Alex King and Chenile Chandler are among the new additions.

Foxtel executive Daniel Monaghan described Rachel Griffiths joining the show as “a huge coup” and said she brings “extraordinary depth and screen presence” to the new series.

He also said Moira is a character audiences will “love to hate”, while describing Halfway Home as a new chapter that honours what made Wentworth such a phenomenon while taking the world in bold new directions.

The latest BINGE posts have already prompted a strong reaction from Wentworth fans, with many celebrating the return of familiar faces and welcoming the new additions.

Comments included “So excited for the new Wentworth!!!!”, “can’t wait” and “First Rachel, now Sophie”, while another fan wrote “Welcome to Wentworth, Sophie! Err.. Sam.”

Chenile Chandler also attracted plenty of attention, with one comment calling her “the girl in blue” followed by fire emojis, while Sophie Lowe herself joined the reaction with “FAM”.

Griffiths has also spoken enthusiastically about joining the franchise. She described Moira as a “delicious character to bring to life” and said she is going to “shake things up at the house”.

The two productions came together at the latest BINGE event, with cast members appearing in a group photograph that quickly attracted a strong response online.

Fans praised the return of familiar Wentworth stars while also reacting warmly to newcomers including Sophie Lowe and Chenile Chandler.
