BFI London Film Festival Tickets Go Live With Major LGBTQ+ Films and Andrew Scott Event
BFI London Film Festival tickets are now on general sale, with major LGBTQ+ films, Andrew Scott and queer TV history among this year’s highlights.
Tickets for the 70th BFI London Film Festival are now officially on general sale, giving film fans their first chance to book some of this year’s biggest LGBTQ+ screenings and events. The festival runs from 7 to 18 October across London and venues around the UK.
Among the strongest LGBTQ+ titles is Queer Edward II, an archival documentary exploring Derek Jarman’s Edward II against the backdrop of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in 1980s Britain. The Man I Love stars Rami Malek in a drama centred on New York’s gay scene during the 1980s, while In a Whisper follows a young queer woman returning home to Tunisia and confronting secrets within her family.
Andrew Scott is also getting his own Screen Talk on 8 October. The 75-minute event will look across a career that includes Pride, All of Us Strangers and the festival’s opening-night film Elsinore.
London screening tickets start from £10, while anyone aged 16 to 25 can sign up to BFI 25 and Under for access to £6 tickets, subject to availability. Screen Talks are priced separately at £21.
The full programme and booking information are available through the official BFI London Film Festival website.
With LGBTQ+ film, television history and major stars all represented, there is plenty here worth booking before the most popular events fill up
