Avatar Seven Havens streams globally from 9 October

Avatar Seven Havens premieres globally on Paramount+ on Friday 9 October, introducing a new hero to the animated world of Avatar The Last Airbender. The series opens with three episodes, with the rest of its first book arriving in weekly batches throughout the month.

Episodes four to six follow on 16 October, episodes seven to nine arrive on 23 October, and the final four episodes land on 30 October. That gives viewers four consecutive Fridays of the new adventure, with all 13 episodes of Book 1 available by the end of the month.

The 2D-animated sequel takes place after The Legend of Korra and follows Pavi, a young Earthbender who discovers she is the next Avatar. Her arrival comes in a world devastated by a catastrophic event, where people see the Avatar as a threat to humanity.

Pavi faces enemies from both the human and spirit worlds as she tries to understand her place in this changed landscape. Alongside her long-lost twin, Nisha, she must uncover the truth about their origins and protect the Seven Havens, the remaining strongholds of civilisation.

Her companions include Geet, a cat monkey, and Jae, an Airbender who acts as her mentor and friend. The new group gives the series its own central relationships as the story moves beyond the adventures of Aang and Korra.

Saheli Khan voices Pavi, with Aishu Devan as Nisha and Major Curda as Jae. Dee Bradley Baker provides the voices of Geet and Ruhi, while the wider cast includes Akshay Khanna, Sakina Jaffrey, Darren Barnet and Dianne Doan.

Original Avatar creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko return as co-creators and executive producers. Ethan Spaulding also serves as executive producer, with Sehaj Sethi as co-executive producer.

The series comprises 26 half-hour episodes divided into two books of 13 episodes each. October’s schedule covers Book 1, with details of Book 2 still to follow.

For returning viewers, Pavi’s story continues the animated timeline after Korra while introducing a different generation of characters. At its centre is a young Avatar trying to protect a world that fears her, with the mystery surrounding her twin woven into that journey.
