Aidan Turner’s Poldark Gets New ITVX Release Date as All Five Seasons Return
Poldark is coming to ITVX with all five seasons of the hit Aidan Turner drama. ITV has now confirmed a new September 2026 release date.
Poldark fans have a new date for their diaries, with ITV confirming that all five seasons of the hugely popular period drama will arrive on ITVX later this month.
The complete series will now launch on 24 September 2026, following a change to the previously announced date of 10 September. It means viewers will soon be able to revisit the entire story from the beginning, while a new audience gets the chance to discover Ross Poldark for the first time.
All Five Seasons of Poldark Are Coming to ITVX
Based on Winston Graham’s novels, Poldark originally aired on the BBC between 2015 and 2019 and became one of the biggest British period dramas of its era.
Aidan Turner stars as Captain Ross Poldark, who returns home to Cornwall after spending three years fighting in the American War of Independence. He discovers his father has died, his estate is struggling and Elizabeth, played by Heida Reed, is engaged to his cousin.
His attempt to rebuild his life brings him into contact with Demelza, played by Eleanor Tomlinson, beginning one of the relationships that would become central to the series.
The wider cast includes Jack Farthing as George Warleggan, Luke Norris as Dwight Enys, Gabriella Wilde as Caroline Penvenen, Kyle Soller as Francis Poldark and Ruby Bentall as Verity.
Cornwall Became Part of the Poldark Story
The spectacular Cornish scenery became almost as recognisable as the characters themselves. Filming took place across Cornwall, including locations around St Agnes Head, Porthcurno, Porthgwarra, Holywell Bay and historic mining sites at Botallack and Levant. Studio production also took place at Bristol’s Bottle Yard Studios.
Its arrival on ITVX gives UK viewers another opportunity to watch the entire saga from Ross’s dramatic return to Cornwall through to the final season.
For anyone who missed Poldark during its original run, this could also be the perfect autumn binge.
